According to the French website "Le Figaro" reported on July 10, this is a historic turning point. The working-age population of 20-64 years old in most affluent countries of the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) has stopped growing. OECD estimates that the working-age population in all its countries will be 820.5 million by 2024. This year, the number is expected to be 820.2 million. In the preface of the Employment Outlook report released on Wednesday, Stefano Scarpetta, Director of Employment and Social Affairs at the OECD, predicted: "As the baby boomer generation exits the labor market, the working-age population of OECD countries has already begun to decline, and this trend is expected to continue until 2060."
