According to Zhtng Finance and Economics APP, on June 6th, the State Council Information Office held a press conference on China's economic and trade cooperation with South Asia and the 9th China-South Asia Expo. Yan Dong, Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Commerce, introduced that by 2024, the trade volume between China and South Asian countries will reach nearly 200 billion US dollars, doubling in the past decade, with an average annual growth rate of about 6.3%. China has been the largest trading partner of countries such as Pakistan and Bangladesh for many years. Products such as cashmere from Nepal, lapis lazuli from Afghanistan, jewelry from India, and tea and spices from Sri Lanka are highly praised by Chinese consumers.
