DigFin App News, Semiconductor Manufacturing International Corporation (00981) announced that on June 5, 2025, its wholly-owned subsidiary, SMIC Holdings, and other shareholders of SMIC Ningbo signed a "Share Issuance and Cash Payment for Asset Acquisition Agreement" with Unigroup Microelectronics. Unigroup Microelectronics intends to purchase 94.366% of the equity of SMIC Ningbo through the issuance of shares and cash payment, including the 14.832% equity held by SMIC Holdings in SMIC Ningbo.
