In pre-market trading, gold stocks in the US generally rose, with Harmony Gold up 3%, Anglogold up nearly 2%, Gold Fields up 1%, and Kinross Gold, Newmont Mining, and Pan American Silver all higher. Last Wednesday, NY gold futures rose over 0.6%, approaching $3,410. In early Asian trading, spot gold broke through $3,380 an ounce. Dow Fortis Global Index remains optimistic about the future price of gold due to various strategic and structural factors. It is expected that gold will transition to a trading range above $3,000 for the rest of the year, with the potential to test $4,000 to $5,000 in the next 12 to 24 months.
