Director Hao Ruifeng of the Market Supervision Department of the State Energy Administration stated at a press conference held by the State Council Information Office on the 5th that since the 18th National Congress of the Party, the State Energy Administration has been focusing on implementing the rural power grid consolidation and upgrade project, strengthening the construction of rural power grid infrastructure, with a total investment of over 100 billion yuan from the central budget, promoting the solution to the problem of weak rural power grid network, and continuously improving the reliability of rural power supply. By 2024, the average power outage time for rural power grid users in China will decrease by over 40% compared to 2020.
