AMD announced on Wednesday local time that they have acquired the open-source software company Brium to further enhance their artificial intelligence (AI) capabilities. AMD stated on their website: "This acquisition strengthens our foundation of long-term innovation. It reflects our strategic commitment to AI, especially to developers building the future of intelligent applications. This is the latest in a series of targeted investments following the acquisitions of Silo AI, Nod.ai, and Mipsology. These investments collectively enhance our ability to support the open-source software ecosystem and provide optimized performance on AMD hardware." The terms of the deal were not disclosed.
