AMD acquires open source software company Brium to strengthen its AI deployment.

AMD announced on Wednesday local time that it has acquired the open-source software company Brium to further enhance its artificial intelligence capabilities. AMD stated on its website, "This acquisition strengthens the foundation of our long-term innovation. It demonstrates our strategic commitment to artificial intelligence, especially to developers building the future of intelligent applications. This is the latest in a series of targeted investments following the acquisitions of Silo AI, Nod.ai, and Mipsology. These investments collectively enhance our ability to support the open-source software ecosystem and provide optimized performance on AMD hardware." The terms of the deal have not been disclosed.
