Canalys' latest data shows that in the first quarter of 2025, the smartphone market in Latin America fell by 4% year-on-year, ending six consecutive quarters of growth, with a total shipment of 33.7 million units. Samsung ranked first with a shipment of 11.9 million units, a 7% year-on-year increase. Xiaomi ranked second for the second consecutive quarter with 5.9 million units, a 10% year-on-year increase. Motorola dropped to third place with a shipment of 5.2 million units, a 13% year-on-year decrease. Honor grew by 2% year-on-year, with a shipment of 2.6 million units, rising to fourth place. Transsion ranked fifth with a shipment of 2.1 million units, experiencing a significant year-on-year decline of 38%, marking its first decline in the region.
