Chairman Hu Wangming of China Baowu Group is conducting research on the Ashburton iron ore project in Australia.
On June 4th local time, Hu Wangming, Party Secretary and Chairman of Baowu Group, visited the site of the Ashburton iron ore project in Australia to inspect and research the production and shipping situation during the project's capacity ramp-up phase. The Baowu Resources Ashburton project is located in the Pilbara region of Western Australia, and is a joint development project between Baowu, Australia Mineral Resources Limited, South Korea's POSCO, and American Metals and Mining Company. The designed annual production capacity of the project is 35 million tons, with Baowu having a share of approximately 22.66 million tons per year. The project is currently in the capacity ramp-up phase, aiming to achieve a full system capacity of 30 million tons per year in the third quarter of this year.
