The largest onshore wind power project in the country has successfully connected to the grid and started generating electricity at full capacity.

According to China Energy Construction Corporation, the Inner Mongolia Energy Wulatezhongqi 1.5 million kilowatt wind energy storage base project, currently the largest onshore wind power project in China under EPC general contracting, has been fully connected to the grid for power generation. The project is located in Wulatezhongqi, Bayannur City, Inner Mongolia, with a total land area of approximately 400 square kilometers. The installed capacity of the power station is 1.5 million kilowatts, with 150 newly built wind turbines with a capacity of 10 megawatts each, as well as 3 220kV substations and supporting projects. It is the first batch of large-scale onshore wind power projects in China to use 10 megawatt turbines.
