Three people died in a collapsed construction site in Shijiazhuang.

On June 4th, the Emergency Management Bureau of Shijiazhuang City issued a situation report: At around 17:20 on June 3, 2025, during the construction of the sewage pipeline relocation project at the intersection of Pingdong Road and Meijie Street in Chang'an District, the original sewage pipeline suddenly burst, causing the collapse of the side soil and the road surface of the pit, trapping 3 people. After the accident, emergency, public security, fire and other relevant departments, along with the project construction unit, rushed to the scene for rescue and disposal work. All 3 trapped individuals were rescued, but unfortunately, despite medical efforts, they were unable to survive. Currently, the investigation into the cause of the accident and post-accident handling work is ongoing.
