Foreign investment "cornerstone" significantly increased, international capital rushing to Hong Kong IPO market
This year, an increasing number of foreign institutions have joined the ranks of cornerstone investors in Hong Kong IPOs. Data shows that as of June 3, 27 companies have listed on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange, with 15 companies introducing foreign investors as cornerstone investors. In the same period last year, there were a total of 21 companies listed on the Hong Kong Stock Market, but only 3 of them had foreign investors as cornerstone investors. According to industry insiders, foreign institutions are currently favoring new consumer, new energy, pharmaceuticals, and other sectors. By participating in cornerstone investments in high-quality companies, foreign institutions can not only share in the benefits of China's industrial upgrading, but also gain early access to globally competitive leading companies, demonstrating international capital's recognition of the long-term value of Chinese core assets.
