Merck (MRK.US) offers over 3 billion USD for acquisition, MoonLake (MLTX.US) surges 20% after hours and rejects offer.

According to the Securities Times APP, the Financial Times reported on Monday that pharmaceutical giant Merck (MRK.US) had made an acquisition offer to biotech company MoonLake Immunotherapeutics (MLTX.US) earlier this year. After the news was released, MoonLake's stock price soared in after-hours trading on the US stock market, rising by more than 30% at one point. As of the time of writing, the stock has risen by about 20%.
