Canadian steel and automotive parts companies' stocks are being impacted by the new round of tariffs imposed by the US on steel and aluminum. Steel manufacturer Algoma Steel and automotive parts manufacturer Magna International are among the top decliners. Automotive parts companies like Linamar and Martinrea International are also being affected. Business jet manufacturer Bombardier is also down, as the company has compared its business to the automotive industry. Tariffs have been a lingering issue in the industry since President Trump imposed a 25% tariff on the automotive industry in February of this year.
