A Federal Reserve official said that the US tariff policy will be the main reason for pushing up inflation.

According to the latest data released by the US Department of Commerce, personal consumption expenditure in April increased by 0.2% compared to March, significantly slowing down from the 0.7% in March. US media reports stated that the slowdown in personal consumption expenditure is mainly due to the increasing economic uncertainty brought about by the constantly changing tariff policies.
