BYD announced that the company's new energy vehicle sales in May 2025 were 382,500 units, compared to 331,800 units in the same period last year; the cumulative sales for the year were 1.7634 million units, compared to 1.2713 million units last year, an increase of 38.70% year-on-year. Passenger vehicle sales were 376,900 units, compared to 330,500 units in the same period last year; the cumulative sales for the year were 1.7356 million units, compared to 1.2669 million units last year, an increase of 37.00% year-on-year. Commercial vehicle sales were 5,546 units, compared to 1,329 units in the same period last year; the cumulative sales for the year were 27,726 units, compared to 4,391 units last year, an increase of 531.43% year-on-year. In addition, in May, the company sold a total of 89,047 new energy vehicles overseas, and the total installed capacity of power batteries and energy storage batteries was approximately 28.48 GWh. The cumulative installed capacity by 2025 is estimated to be around 107.51 GWh.
