The Myanmar military announced another extension of the temporary ceasefire.

The Myanmar Ministry of Defense headquarters issued a statement on May 31st, saying that in order to quickly carry out the reconstruction of earthquake-stricken areas and achieve national peace and stability, it announced that the temporary ceasefire would be extended once again until June 30th. Previously, the Myanmar Ministry of Defense announced a temporary ceasefire from April 2nd to April 22nd, which was later extended to April 30th. On May 6th, the Ministry of Defense announced that the temporary ceasefire would be extended to May 31st.
