On June 1st, the third-party research institution Zhongzhi Research Institute released the "Hundred Cities Price Index Report," which showed that in May, the new housing market continued to be in a state of differentiation, with high-quality improvement projects in core cities driving transactions to remain active; the second-hand housing market saw a slight decline in transactions compared to the previous month, with "price-for-volume" still dominating the market. The data showed that in May, the average price of new residential buildings in one hundred cities was 16,815 yuan per square meter, with some cities seeing an increase driven by high-quality improvement projects, resulting in a 0.30% month-on-month structural increase and a 2.56% year-on-year increase. In terms of different tiers, in May, the prices of new residential buildings in first-tier cities rose by 0.90% month-on-month, with Shanghai leading the way with a 1.47% increase in new housing prices driven by projects such as Greentown Chaoming Dongfang. Second-tier cities saw a 0.06% month-on-month increase in new housing prices, while third and fourth-tier cities saw a 0.11% decrease.
