British media: The UK government plans to spend 1.5 billion pounds to build a military factory to achieve "on-demand" ammunition production capacity, which has been questioned by the Conservative Party.
According to British Broadcasting Corporation and The Guardian, on May 31st, British Defense Secretary John Healey stated that the British government will allocate 1.5 billion pounds to build at least six ammunition and explosive factories in order to "more effectively deter opponents." However, BBC mentioned that the opposition Conservative Party expressed doubts that the Labour Party is ready to achieve "ready-to-use" ammunition production capability, as procurement work has "basically stopped" in the past year.
