On May 31st, Professor Meng Xiangqing from the National Defense University of China, attending the Shangri-La Dialogue in Singapore, told CCTV reporters that the United States was creating regional divisions at the dialogue, but ASEAN countries are more concerned with cooperation and development, which represents the common voice of the region. Meng Xiangqing stated that the United States once again brought up the so-called "Indo-Pacific strategy" during the Shangri-La Dialogue, which has been in place for many years.
