The main construction of the Beijing Underground Section of the Beijing-Tangshan Intercity Railway has been completed.

Yesterday, the Beijing-Tangshan intercity railway completed the ballastless track construction in the Beijing underground section, marking the completion of the main project of the project. Next, rail laying, static acceptance testing, and commissioning testing will be carried out in succession. The Beijing-Tangshan intercity railway starts from the comprehensive transportation hub of the Beijing urban sub-center station and ends at the existing Tangshan station in Hebei Province, with a total length of approximately 148.7 kilometers and a designed maximum speed of 350 kilometers per hour. The Yanjiao to Tangshan section of the Beijing-Tangshan intercity railway, operated by China Railway Beijing Bureau, was opened for operation on December 30, 2022. The Beijing underground section is the "last link" before the entire Beijing-Tangshan intercity railway is fully connected.
