The Chief Executive of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, Carrie Lam, met with the new Director of the Liaison Office of the Central People's Government in the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, as well as the National Security Advisor to the Committee for Safeguarding National Security of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, Zeng Jing, at the Government House today. The two sides exchanged views on the social situation, opportunities and challenges in Hong Kong, as well as promoting the long-term prosperity and stability of Hong Kong. Carrie Lam thanked the central government for its continuous support and concern for Hong Kong, and for promoting and supporting Hong Kong's development. Carrie Lam expressed her heartfelt welcome to Director Zeng Jing for taking on this new role.
