On May 31, 2025, at the Future Automotive Pioneer Conference, Chery Automobile Chairman Yin Tongyue spoke out against price wars in the car market, saying, "'Price war' is a term I dislike the most because I feel like I am being kidnapped. Our sales team may say that a certain competitor has started a price war, prompting us to adjust our prices, but I think this is not the way to go. However, older people are easily influenced by younger people, and this is the most painful decision I have to make." Yin Tongyue emphasized that the development of the Chinese automotive industry relies on technological innovation, brand enhancement, cooperation and joint development, given the vast Chinese and global markets.
