National Bureau of Statistics: The business climate of the service industry slightly improved in May.

The business activity index for the service industry is 50.2%, an increase of 0.1 percentage points from the previous month. From the industry perspective, driven by the "May Day" holiday effect, resident travel, catering consumption, and other activities are relatively active. The business activity index of industries such as railway transportation, aviation transportation, accommodation, and catering has significantly rebounded, all of which are in the expansion zone. Market activity has increased; at the same time, the business activity index of industries such as postal services, telecommunications, broadcasting, television and satellite transmission services, internet software, and information technology services continues to be above 55.0%, in a high prosperity zone, maintaining a good growth momentum. In terms of market expectations, the business activity expectation index is 56.5%, an increase of 0.1 percentage points from the previous month, consistently above 56.0% since the beginning of this year, indicating that most service industry enterprises remain optimistic about market development.
