On the 30th, it was learned from the Forestry and Grassland Bureau of Minqin County, Wuwei City, Gansu Province, that a green belt with a total length of over 380 kilometers and a total area of 2.1 million mu has completed its border locking and closure, marking the establishment of a three-dimensional protection system to defend the ecological security of the oasis. Minqin, located in the northeast of the Hexi Corridor in Gansu, was once one of the important sources of sandstorms in China. Surrounded by sand on three sides, Minqin is an oasis between the Badain Jaran Desert and the Tengger Desert, with 94% of its land area being desert and desertified land. Now, a green barrier with a length of over 380 kilometers has been formed, laying a solid foundation to "ensure Minqin does not become another Lop Nor."
