On May 30th, Meituan announced that in order to continue improving the rider protection system, starting from June 1st, Meituan will officially upgrade the "Rider Serious Illness Care Plan" to expand the types of diseases covered and include the minor children of part-time crowdsource riders in the coverage. Building on the previous coverage of 101 serious illnesses, the company has further expanded the coverage to include 61 types of minor illnesses, as well as added reimbursement for non-serious illness hospitalization medical expenses.
