15 departments jointly issue a plan to build a national standard system for responding to climate change.

The "National Plan for the Construction of the Standard System for Climate Change Response" jointly issued by the Ministry of Ecology and Environment and 15 other departments was publicly released on the 30th, aiming to accelerate the construction of a scientific, practical, and systematically standardized national system for climate change response. The person in charge of the Climate Change Response Department of the Ministry of Ecology and Environment introduced that the plan specifies the objectives of the construction of the national system for climate change response standards: first, to adhere to the principle of "implementing urgent measures first and gradually improving," and revise a batch of key standards covering various fields, elements, and links in stages to enhance the foresight and operability of the standards, fully play the basic supporting and normative leading role of the standards in responding to climate change; second, to strengthen inter-departmental coordination, promote the coordination and connection of standards at all levels, and form a combined force of standards; third, to actively participate in the formulation of relevant international standards, enhance the international influence of standards, and promote international coordination and mutual recognition of standards.
