On May 31, BYD announced cooperation with Xiaoju Charging to jointly build 10,000 megawatt fast charging piles, and cooperation with Xindian Tu to jointly build 5,000 megawatt fast charging piles. According to BYD, in addition to the cooperation to jointly build, it has previously announced the construction of 4,000 megawatt fast charging stations, which has now been completed with over 500 megawatt fast charging stations covering more than 200 core cities nationwide. BYD stated that it is currently actively negotiating cooperation with several leading charging operators to jointly promote more social capital to facilitate the widespread implementation of megawatt fast charging piles.
