Today, the National Development and Reform Commission and the National Energy Administration jointly introduced relevant documents to promote the development of green electricity direct connection, promote the local consumption of new energy, and better meet the green energy needs of enterprises. Green electricity direct connection refers to new energy sources such as wind power and solar power not directly connected to the public grid, but supplying green electricity to a single power user through dedicated lines. This method can achieve local consumption of new energy and promote green consumption by electricity-using enterprises. It is reported that China will support four types of market entities to carry out green electricity direct connection. These include: For new electricity-consuming enterprises, they can directly build new energy projects on-site. For existing export-oriented enterprises, they can use surrounding new energy resources to carry out green electricity direct connection to meet carbon reduction requirements. For projects that cannot be integrated into the grid due to grid connection or consumption limitations, after completing the necessary procedures, they can be converted to green electricity direct connection mode. According to the document requirements, the proportion of self-generated and self-consumed electricity from new energy sources in a year should be no less than 60% of the total electricity generated. The proportion of total electricity consumption should increase from no less than 30% in 2025 to no less than 35% in 2030, guiding new energy projects to directly supply electricity to enterprises and users "face-to-face".
