The Central Military Commission of the Workers' Party of Korea held an expanded meeting to discuss key project construction.

On May 28th local time, the 8th expanded meeting of the 8th Central Military Commission of the Workers' Party of Korea was held at the headquarters of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party. Kim Jong-un, General Secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea, Chairman of the Central Military Commission of the Workers' Party of Korea, and Chairman of the State Affairs Commission, guided the meeting. The meeting reached important conclusions on strengthening the national defense forces, the military-political activities of the armed forces of Korea, and current tasks. The meeting also discussed and arranged related work on forcefully advancing important projects with political and military significance, and instructed and arranged a series of new plans in the defense science and industry sectors. At the meeting, the Central Military Commission of the Workers' Party of Korea appointed 6 new commanders of military units, artillery bureau chiefs, and security bureau chiefs, as well as dispatched some new political commissars.
