On May 29th, the passenger and freight transportation route between Fangchenggang, Guangxi and Haikou, Hainan made its maiden voyage at the Ma'anling Tourist Terminal in Fangchenggang. The opening of the route is an important practice in actively responding to the "Belt and Road" initiative and promoting the high-level construction of the western land and sea new passage between Guangxi and Hainan. It marks the efficient connection between the Beibu Gulf International Gateway Port and the Hainan Free Trade Port, two major national strategic support points, and provides a new strategic channel for deepening regional cooperation between Guangxi and Hainan and promoting coordinated regional economic development.
