Francesco Pesole of the Dutch International Group stated in a report that the recent correlation between the Swedish Krone and risk appetite seems to have weakened. He said that the Swedish Krone weakened earlier this week, despite President Trump's decision to postpone tariffs on EU goods boosting risk appetite. The Swedish Krone's trend seems to show a nearly perfect asymmetry with the US dollar, rather than being driven by market sentiment. Last week, as concerns about US Treasury bonds increased, the Swedish Krone strengthened against the Euro. "One possible reason is that the Swedish Krone has received support from equity funds flowing back from the US, while negative news from the US accelerated the flow of these funds."
