Poll: Michigan residents are pessimistic about the US economic outlook.
According to a public opinion survey released by the Detroit Regional Chamber in Michigan on the 27th, approximately 54% of respondents in Michigan believe that the Trump administration's tariff policies will have a negative impact on the state's economy. In terms of economic expectations, 62% of respondents believe that the current U.S. economy is either weak or heading towards a recession. The Chamber's leader stated that this data indicates that residents of the state generally hold a pessimistic view on the current U.S. economic situation. Additionally, 79% of respondents believe that tariff policies will directly result in an increase in commodity prices, increasing the cost of living for residents.
