South African President Ramaphosa recently stated that US President Trump has agreed for the US to participate in the G20 Summit to be held in South Africa in November this year. Ramaphosa visited the United States for a working visit from the 19th to the 22nd of this month, and held talks with Trump at the White House on the 21st. He said during his weekly briefing on the 26th that Trump has agreed for the US to continue playing an important role in the G20, including participating in the G20 Summit to be held later this year in Johannesburg, South Africa, when South Africa will hand over the rotating G20 presidency to the US.
