Drive down the overall logistics costs in society, eight departments have issued a document specifying the acceleration of the development of digitalized and intelligent supply chains in these areas.

Today, the Ministry of Commerce, the National Development and Reform Commission, and 8 other departments issued the "Special Action Plan for Accelerating the Development of Smart Supply Chains", clearly stating the need to accelerate the development of smart supply chains in key areas such as agriculture, manufacturing, wholesale, and retail, in order to reduce the overall logistics costs in society and cultivate a group of leading smart supply chain enterprises and supply chain center cities. The Action Plan focuses on five major key areas, including agriculture, manufacturing, wholesale, and retail, proposing to support the development of agricultural product supply chain service providers and the construction of digital commodity markets; Coordinating the creation of a group of smart factories and smart supply chains, launching a special action to empower new industrialization with artificial intelligence; Enhancing the integrated capability of the wholesale supply chain to provide comprehensive services such as raw material procurement and warehouse logistics for upstream and downstream customers and industrial clusters; Supporting retail companies in integrating omni-channel information with smart technology, accelerating the feedback of consumer information to brand owners and manufacturers, and guiding the promotion of "personalized customization + flexible production; Promoting the reduction of overall logistics costs, popularizing facilities such as intelligent three-dimensional warehouses, automatic guided vehicles, and unmanned delivery vehicles, and supporting the integrated development of trade port and shipping. By 2030, a replicable and scalable development model of smart supply chains will be formed, and a deeply embedded, efficient, and controllable smart supply chain system will be established in important industries and key areas. Approximately 100 leading smart supply chain enterprises nationwide will be cultivated, and the resilience and security level of China's industrial chain supply chain will be further enhanced.
