Li Qiang meets with Indonesian Speaker of Parliament Bu An.
On the afternoon of May 25th local time, Chinese Premier Li Keqiang met with the Speaker of the Indonesian Parliament, Bambang, at the Indonesian Parliament Building. Li Keqiang pointed out that China is willing to strengthen friendly exchanges and party-to-party cooperation between legislative institutions with Indonesia, enhance policy communication and exchange experiences in governance, and promote more fruitful results in the cause of China-Indonesia friendship. Both sides should focus on cooperation in landmark and major projects such as the Jakarta-Bandung high-speed railway, promote facilitation of bilateral trade and investment, jointly create a fair and friendly business environment, expand cooperation in emerging fields such as digital economy, green development, and artificial intelligence, and achieve a higher level of mutually beneficial cooperation. China is willing to strengthen communication and coordination with Indonesia in multilateral mechanisms such as the United Nations, jointly uphold the basic principles of international relations, maintain the multilateral trading system with the World Trade Organization at its core, oppose unilateralism, protectionism, and power politics, promote the spirit of Bandung characterized by unity, friendship, and cooperation, and inject stability and certainty into the cause of global peace and development.
