Fuxiang Pharmaceutical: Plans to develop a variety of imitation meat products.

Li Huiyue, Vice Chairman of Fuxiang Pharmaceutical, introduced at the second National Conference on Microbial Protein Technology Innovation and Industrial Development held today that the company's new products based on new quality protein development have a strong meat-like fiber imitation, tender and juicy, with a taste and appearance comparable to real meat. The company plans to develop more than 10 C-end products in multiple tracks through independent research and development and external cooperation. Currently, the company has built the first domestic thousand-ton-level microbial new quality protein production line, and is investing in the construction of an annual production of 20,000 tons of microbial new quality protein production line. Chinese Academy of Engineering academician Chen Jian stated at the conference that compared to traditional protein livestock/fish farming models, new quality protein production efficiency is increased by 1000 times, water savings exceed 90%, and no pesticides or fertilizers are needed. Developing new quality protein can solve the cost and sustainability issues of key protein supply in the meat, egg, and milk industry chains, further meeting national strategic needs, ensuring food supply security, and having huge industrial potential and market space.
