Edward Yau: Hong Kong's new stock fundraising amount has exceeded 76 billion this year, a year-on-year increase of more than 7 times.

Hong Kong Financial Secretary Paul Chan Mo-po stated in his blog that the Hong Kong stock market was bustling in the past week, welcoming the largest global new stock listing so far this year. In 2021, the amount raised by new stocks in Hong Kong has exceeded HK$76 billion, an increase of over 7 times compared to the same period last year, and has reached nearly 90% of the total amount raised by new stocks throughout last year. He also mentioned that deepening connections with the mainland is a great advantage for Hong Kong's long-term development.
