In the first four months, the automobile production in Shaanxi Province increased by 33.3% year on year.

On May 23, according to the provincial Automobile Industry Association, in the first four months of the year, the province's automobile production was 630,000 vehicles, an increase of 33.3% year-on-year, which was 22.2 percentage points higher than the national average. The added value of the automobile manufacturing industry increased by 32.4% year-on-year. Among them, the production of passenger cars was 578,000 vehicles, an increase of 37.5% year-on-year; the production of commercial vehicles was 52,000 vehicles. The production of new energy vehicles was 449,000 vehicles, an increase of 44.8% year-on-year, which was 1.1 percentage points higher than the national average. In the first four months, the province's leading companies in the automobile manufacturing industry performed well: Xi'an BYD produced 407,000 vehicles, an increase of 43.1% year-on-year; the total vehicle output value was 51.2 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 43%; and the parts output value was 6.31 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 34.6%. Xi'an Geely produced 119,000 vehicles, an increase of 51.7% year-on-year; the total vehicle output value was 11.2 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 37.3%; and the parts output value was 1.78 billion yuan.
