The report states that in terms of industry choices, finance, education, and computer science are the main expected fields of work for current prospective international students. In terms of study destinations, the United States and the United Kingdom have always been popular choices. Due to advantages in geography and cost-effectiveness, China's Hong Kong has been steadily increasing in popularity in recent years, ranking in the top three countries and regions for intended study abroad destinations in 2025. Asian countries such as Japan, Singapore, and South Korea have also seen increasing popularity in the past two years. It is worth mentioning that Ireland is becoming increasingly popular among Chinese study abroad groups, as it has jumped to seventh place in the 2025 rankings of intended study abroad countries and regions. This is the first time Ireland has broken into the top ten of this list.
