From January to April this year, the national cumulative production of raw coal was 1.585 billion tons.

According to the China Coal Industry Association, in the first four months of this year, the country produced a total of 1.585 billion tons of raw coal, an increase of 6.6% year-on-year. Cumulative coal imports were 153 million tons, a decrease of 5.3%. As for coal inventories, by the end of April, national coal enterprises had a stockpile of 89 million tons, a 41.7% increase; coal inventories at ports along the Bohai Sea totaled 31.04 million tons, a 25% increase year-on-year; by mid-May, power plants nationwide had an inventory of approximately 200 million tons of coal, with 36 days' worth of supply.
