Today, the country's first large-scale lithium-sodium hybrid energy storage station, the Baichi Energy Storage Station of Southern Power Grid, has been put into operation in Yunnan. The Baichi Energy Storage Station covers an area equivalent to 5 football fields, with an installed capacity of 400 megawatt hours. It can adjust power by 580 million kilowatt-hours per year, equivalent to the annual electricity consumption of 270,000 households. Green energy accounts for as high as 98% of the total capacity.
