The Director of the Transport and Logistics Bureau of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government, Chen Meibao, stated in a blog post on the 24th that Hong Kong will revise laws related to low-altitude economy to promote the development of the low-altitude economy in Hong Kong. At the same time, this legal framework will serve as a reference for jurisdictions to develop low-altitude economies. Taking advantage of Hong Kong's influence in international aviation to establish world-class standards for low-altitude airspace management. It is understood that the relevant laws include the "Small Unmanned Aircraft Regulations" and the "1995 Aviation Ordinance". Chen Meibao stated that the revision of the "Small Unmanned Aircraft Regulations" will "green light" cross-border operations of unmanned aircraft in terms of aviation safety, stipulating that small unmanned aircraft of any weight can conduct cross-border operations after obtaining approval from the Civil Aviation Department. The latest proposed "1995 Aviation Ordinance Amendment" will approve non-traditional aircraft experiments.
