Zhangpu-Shantou High-Speed Railway approved, travel time between Fuzhou and Guangzhou will be shortened to 3.5 hours.

The important project of the national "Eight Vertical and Eight Horizontal" high-speed rail network - the land for the Zhangpu-Shantou High-speed rail has officially received approval from the State Council and will soon start construction! The total length of the line is 174.68 kilometers, with a design speed of 350 kilometers per hour, passing through Zhangzhou, Longhai, Zhangpu, Yunxiao, Dongshan, Zhao'an and other places, connecting to Guangdong. Once completed, the Zhangpu-Shantou High-speed rail will connect to the Fuzhou-Xiamen and Shantou-Shanwei High-speed rails, forming a 350 kilometers per hour high-speed rail artery from Fuzhou to Guangzhou. The travel time between the two cities will be shortened to about 3.5 hours.
