Liu Yuhui: By 2030, China's manufacturing industry may dominate 60% of the global market.
The 2025 Fund High-Quality Development Conference, organized by Sina Finance, grandly opened in Shenzhen. Liu Yuhui, a member of the China Chief Economist Forum, stated that the dominance of China's industrial sector, or the dominance of manufacturing, has become increasingly powerful over the past 20 years. In 2024, the industrial manufacturing output of the entire China accounted for an astonishing 35% of the global manufacturing output, which is more than the combined total of the second to tenth countries. This trend is still accelerating upwards, and if it continues at its current pace, by 2030, China's manufacturing supply chain output will account for 45% of the total global manufacturing output. Looking at the degree of technology intensity, the dominance ratio of China's supply chain may be even more astonishing, possibly exceeding 60%.
