Shenzhen releases "policy package" to promote high-quality development of cultural industries

According to Shenzhen TV Shenzhen News, on the opening day of the 21st China (Shenzhen) International Cultural Industry Fair and Exchange, Guangdong issued a "policy package" to promote the high-quality development of the cultural industry, supporting Guangzhou and Shenzhen in implementing incentive policies to create the "international entertainment dual-core city". As a pioneering exploration in building the "international entertainment dual-core city", on May 24th, Shenzhen held a cultural industry investment promotion event. Two "policy packages" were announced at the event: "Measures to Promote the High-Quality Development of the Digital Creative Industry in Shenzhen" and "Support and Management Measures for the New Space of Performing Arts in Shenzhen". The "Measures to Promote the High-Quality Development of the Digital Creative Industry in Shenzhen" focuses on four key areas: targeted project construction, content creation and production, exhibition and event promotion, and cultivation of new formats. It emphasizes digital technology support, promotion of key areas of development, and innovation in the industry ecosystem, proposing "sixteen measures" to create a global hub for innovation in the digital creative industry. It also specifically supports the development of gaming, film and animation, micro-drama, performing arts, and science fiction, as well as initiatives such as supporting the premiere of cultural works, concerts, theatrical tours, and major events and exhibitions. The "Support and Management Measures for the New Space of Performing Arts in Shenzhen" aims to promote the quality improvement and sustainable development of performing arts new spaces through standardized management and policy support. This policy specifies the nature of public gathering places in performing arts new spaces, recognition criteria, fire design, and fire management approval guidelines to address structural shortages in performance venues and promote the standardized and orderly development of the industry.
