Guangzhou and Hong Kong Join Hands to Launch Fruit Air Freight "Express Line"

Yesterday, the launch ceremony for the Guangzhou-Hong Kong imported fruit air transit dedicated line was held at the Guangzhou Airport Center. Witnessed by relevant departments including the Guangzhou Municipal Government, the Guangdong Sub-Administration of the General Administration of Customs, and the Police Liaison Department of the Liaison Office of the Central People's Government in the Hong Kong SAR, as well as representatives from enterprises such as China Southern Air Holding Company and the Guangdong Airport Authority, and multiple media outlets from the mainland and Hong Kong, Guangzhou Customs and Hong Kong Customs signed the "Memorandum of Understanding between Guangzhou Customs and Hong Kong Customs on Regulatory Cooperation for Imported Fruits Transiting by Air via Hong Kong Airport to Baiyun Airport," and jointly launched the Guangzhou-Hong Kong imported fruit air transit dedicated line. This marks a landmark step by the mainland and Hong Kong in regulatory cooperation for imported fruit air transit, and officially launches the "global via Hong Kong to Guangzhou" fruit air logistics dedicated line. According to enterprise estimates, after the opening of the Guangzhou-Hong Kong imported fruit air transit dedicated line, Baiyun Airport's fruit imports are expected to increase by 200 tons in the first month.
