Plan 158 major water network projects; the skeleton of the "Jingchu Anlan" modern water network will basically take shape by 2030.

On October 23, the first event of the provincial government information office's "15th Five-Year Plan" provincial special planning interpretation series press conference was held, interpreting the "Hubei Province Water Security Guarantee '15th Five-Year Plan' Plan." This plan outlines the roadmap and construction blueprint for water management over the next five years: the province has planned 158 major water network projects with a total investment of 780 billion yuan, and plans to complete an investment of 350 billion yuan during the "15th Five-Year Plan" period. In two phases, the "15th Five-Year Plan" and the "16th Five-Year Plan," a modern water network featuring "connectivity of the three rivers and multiple tributaries, and joint regulation of a hundred reservoirs and a thousand lakes" will be built. By 2030, the main framework of the "Jingchu Anlan" modern water network will basically take shape, and efforts will be made to basically complete a safe and resilient modern water network by 2035.
