Zhitong Finance APP has learned that on October 21, the National Energy Administration held a meeting to promote medium- and long-term oil and gas reserve growth and production increase. The meeting noted that in recent years, China's oil and gas reserve growth and production increase work has achieved historic accomplishments, with annual crude oil output stable at more than 200 million tons, natural gas output increasing by more than 10 billion cubic meters for nine consecutive years, the role of domestic oil and gas supply as a stabilizing anchor becoming more solid, and various risks and challenges successfully addressed. The meeting emphasized that in the face of the complex and severe international situation, oil and gas companies must firmly shoulder the core responsibility of safeguarding national energy security, do everything possible to increase oil and gas production and supply capacity over a relatively long period in the future, make every effort to promote reserve growth and production increase, firmly hold the energy rice bowl in their own hands, and make new and greater contributions to building an energy powerhouse.
