Meta raises capital expenditure forecast by $5 billion.
Meta Platforms raised its capital expenditure estimate for this year to a range of $135 billion to $145 billion, lifting the low end of that range by $5 billion. The company declined to provide a specific outlook for 2027, but said it expects to "continue investing heavily to support our core business and emerging AI initiatives." Meta also said its compute capacity is sufficient to allow the company to maintain flexibility among core business growth, new product development, and foundational AI model training. The company also expects that, driven by new AI products and the impact of AI on its core business, "overall revenue will grow strongly throughout 2027."
